Nova Leap Posts Record Q2 as Revenue and Adjusted EBITDA Surge

Nova Leap Health Corp. reported its strongest quarter on record for the three months ended June 30, 2026. Revenue, operating income and Adjusted EBITDA all reached new highs, supported by contributions from its U.S. and Canadian operations, a Nova Scotia acquisition and continued expansion in Massachusetts.

Key takeaways

Nova Leap’s second-quarter results highlighted stronger scale and operating performance across its home-based and community-care platform:

  • Revenue rose 17.1% year over year to $9.4 million.

  • Adjusted EBITDA increased 65.2% to $954,836.

  • Income from operating activities more than doubled to $754,667.

  • Net income reached $649,977, compared with a net loss in the prior-year quarter.

  • Trailing twelve-month revenue and Adjusted EBITDA both reached company records.

For owners of home care and home health businesses, these measures underscore the importance of accurate service-line reporting, payroll controls and timely financial statements. Specialized accounting support, such as that provided by Soriaga and Associates to care providers in the Chicagoland area, can help operators track the same performance drivers at a smaller-business level.

Revenue and profitability strengthen

Nova Leap generated second-quarter revenue of $9.39 million, compared with $8.02 million a year earlier. Gross profit margin remained essentially stable at 40.3%, versus 40.2% in the second quarter of 2025, indicating that growth was accompanied by disciplined cost management.

Adjusted EBITDA climbed to $954,836 from $577,907, while the company’s Adjusted EBITDA margin exceeded 10% for the first time. Income from operating activities rose 115.4% to $754,667. Nova Leap also reported net income of $649,977, reversing the $484,008 net loss recorded in the comparable quarter.

Adjusted EBITDA is a non-IFRS measure calculated from operating income, amortization and depreciation, and stock-based compensation. It should be considered alongside, rather than as a replacement for, IFRS-based results.

Expansion supports growth strategy

The company acquired a Nova Scotia home care services provider on May 1 for total consideration of CAD$3.5 million. The transaction was funded through a combination of acquisition debt and cash, with part of the consideration structured as a three-year promissory note.

Nova Leap also opened an office in Waltham, Massachusetts, to serve the Greater Boston market. Management said it continued investing in Florida and Texas after quarter-end, while pursuing organic expansion in Nova Scotia and New Hampshire.

The company reported $1.44 million in cash and access to an unused revolving credit facility of approximately $1.06 million at June 30. It also said up to $3.05 million remained available under its credit agreement for potential acquisitions.

Balance sheet and operating considerations

Total principal outstanding on demand loans and promissory notes was $3.53 million. Based on trailing twelve-month Adjusted EBITDA of $2.60 million, Nova Leap reported a debt-to-Adjusted EBITDA ratio of 1.36 times.

As the company expands through acquisitions and new locations, integration, staffing, billing accuracy and cash management will remain important. For smaller providers, Soriaga and Associates’ bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, cost report filing and fractional CFO services address many of the same financial controls needed to support sustainable growth.

Management outlook

President and CEO Chris Dobbin said the quarter demonstrated how scale, market density and operating discipline can translate into stronger earnings and cash flow. Management plans to deepen its presence in existing markets, pursue value-accretive acquisitions, selectively open offices and expand current operations.

Those plans remain subject to factors including financing availability, acquisition opportunities, economic conditions and the company’s ability to integrate acquired businesses. Nova Leap cautioned that forward-looking statements may differ materially from actual results.
